Peace
As you know by now, I finished writing my newest book... sort of. You see, I have the whole thing written out in note form so I won't forget and can write it. My post-book mental condition, however, has been worse than my during-book condition.
You see, this book is about my mental journey in attempt to find the purpose of life. I won't give away the ending, out of sheer politeness, despite my theme that the journey is more important than the destination. Anyway, I've been questioning that ending. I thought that I was done, but apparently, I'm not.
It's only been one day since the completion of my novel, but I feel as though it's been finished for years and at the same time, like it's not yet over. I wonder if I've been fooling myself. I'm considering making a second part, even if it's only a page long, for my book.
I think I discovered this today. Peace and conflict can only exist simultaneously. They can't not exist because that would leave nothing, and nothing is peaceful, thus peace would exist. And there can't exist one without the other because peace is the everlasting goal during conflict and conflict is used to gain personal peace.
"Peace" and conflict seem to form a cycle. I don't mean forever, all-encompassing peace, but rather, I mean that conflict is part of a cycle with a laxer, less compationate, temporary "peace."
I suppose peace could exist alone, without conflict. But on earthly territory, it could only do so in a solitary world, where there is no one else to fall prey to greed and try to subjugate you, or where you could attempt subjugation of another. Only in that kind of place could peace exist, but I would imagine it would be rather lonely, and hence, your mind would never be at peace.
Or could it? Is it possible to truly accept lonliness and create slef-peace? I doubt any mortal man ever can, but there's always hope.
