:: Scrolling Messages ::
Scrolling Messages is a site wide, group IM system. Members may
post up to 250 characters per posting and the most recent 15
messages are displayed to those with their IM Console running.
The Scrolling Messages area is found within your IM Console;
your IM Console can be launched from you "Member Tools" pulldown.

To best fit your web browser and computer specifications, you can
set the full height for the IM Console window within the Set Your
Preferences area. The default is 700 pixels high, but it can be
set as low as 450 in height for those using low monitor resolutions
and as big as 900 high for those with higher resolutions. The
entire Scrolling Messages section can also be completely removed
from the IM Console using this preference. The preferences form
can be accessed from your "My Account" page or directly at:
         http://www.stories.com/main/my_account.php?action=ea_form&type=preferences

Some rules:
* Content in scrolling messages must be G in rating; Posting tags
for items rated from G thru R is acceptable so long as the titles
are G.
* Most StoriesML tags will work with the exception of larger tags
such as bitem, image and poll which, due to space restrictions,
will not work.
* Promotion of Stories.Com items within this area is acceptable,
however, it should be done in moderation. Please use good judgement
and do not constantly bombard everyone with advertising!
* Harassment of other members, by any means within Stories.Com is
strictly prohibited, will not be tolerated and may result in
account termination.

To help alleviate the system load, posting to Scrolling Messages
is reserved for Upgraded & Premium Members only. All members,
however, are able to view the content in the Scrolling Messages.
