[NOTICE] IM & SMsgs Move Servers!

Greetings Members!

Please note that we have moved our Instant Message (IM) and Scrolling Messages (SMsg) systems to their own web server within our online network. Since IM and SMsg page loads account for 20% of the activity within Writing.Com, this move helps to keep the rest of Writing.Com fast and snappy.

Now, more than ever, members will need to be sure they are accepting cookies from Writing.Com. Once you have logged into our main site, we set a cookie with your encrypted information so that you are immediately identified by our IM web server.

Pop-ups are another issues members will need to be aware of. Some pop-up blockers will require that pop-ups be set allowable from our IM server's domain. We have setup the following page to allow members a land place to enable pop-ups:

Please note: Many internet software packages now include pop-up blockers. It is likely you have more than 1 blocker on your computer. If you have trouble, it is most likely due to another, more stealthy pop-up blocker within your computer.
