Introducing Photo Albums, Given Awardicons & More!

We're pleased to make the following announcements:


:: Introducing Photo Albums ::
Writing.Com is pleased to introduce our newest item type:
         Photo Albums

Photo Albums provide members the ability to upload and store multiple photos
within individual items in their portfolio. Larger in size than regular Image Items,
photos can be up to 550x550 and uploaded into the album five (5) at a time!

If any photos are too big, the system will automatically downsize them to the
maximum allowable size "on the fly" as you upload. Photo Album Items also
include basic "rotate left" and "rotate right" functions so that you can upload
images right off your camera. Photo Album features will save you a lot of time,
work, and portfolio space!

As with all items on Writing.Com, Photo Albums allow for access restrictions,
passkeys, reviewing and much more. Here's an example Photo Album:

The new WritingML tag, {photo:#######}, allows those with Photo Albums to
include a photo's thumbnail in any item, post, entry, etc. Photo thumbnails are
automatically generated by Writing.Com and are linked to the full photo. Here's

Photo Albums can be created and stored by those with Premium Memberships

:: Your "Given" Awardicons ::
A list of the items you've awarded with awardicons can be found under the new
Given: Awardicons section available from your "My Gift Points" pull down menu.


:: Full Search For Books and Forums ::
The search area for Books and Forums now fully searches the content of all
entries and forum posts. Originally, the search functions looked only at the
subject lines and poster's username. This enhancement makes finding what
you're looking for within any books and forums much more likely!

costumicon subscriptions are available for purchase! This subscription will
