A CRADLE OF HOPE
A CRADLE OF HOPE

[A hope that superpowers may not launch superwars]

Somewhere, deep within my heart
I still cradle a hope,
That in the darkness of mind,
World may no longer grope.

I am hopeful of a day
When sun will sweetly shine;
Blue sky will not have war clouds;
Hearts won’t for the dead pine;

When photos of dying parents
Won’t ring in children’s dreams;
When superpowers won’t be,
There would be changed regimes.
