I PREFER SILENCE
I PREFER SILENCE

When someone wants to listen
Only to his own voice;
When only in his own thoughts
He can dwell and rejoice;
I prefer silence.

When knowledge is frowned upon
And ignorance is bliss;
When there is none who truly
Does voice of reason miss;
I prefer silence.

When Bush says he bombed Iraq
On orders from the God;
When he talks WMD
To cover up his fraud;
I prefer silence.

God gave two ears but one tongue,
So that we listen more,
Rather than talk without need.
Listen, my friend, therefore,
I prefer silence.
