I WISH YOU WELL AS WE DEPART


I wish you well as we depart,
Perhaps never to meet again.
I say truly that on my part,
Meeting you has not been in vain.

It’s true we had differences,
We loved though we also did fight.
We gave each other offences,
Yet we had moments of delight.

Now let’s go our separate ways,
And put behind unsavoury past
May new relations fill our days,
Let’s hope, this time, they longer last.

Let me tell you but this one fact,
You will always be in my heart.
Your memories will be intact,
I wish you well as we depart.
