March 18th Prompt: A Wall (any wall, anywhere)
Imprisonment

Laying back
I see the walls
Embracers
Bare
Just peeling paint
That adorn them
Dank mold
Crawls along
Making homes in open cracks

Cobwebs
Lifelessly suspended
In the ancient crook
Tiny fissures
Hidden away
Under grout
Apertures
Carelessly covered
Without concept

Sound
Repelled away
Sealed off
Stagnant air
Consumes
My fortress
No window
No light
No life

My sight
Now distorted
Images
Haunting me
Walls closing in
Eroded blackness
Crusted decay
Blackened death

Panic
Fills me
Reality is awoken
Defying my existence
Poison crusted over
Into my dismal prison
No escape
From my sarcophagus
I’m the warped creator
In my dying mind
In my broken heart
In my lost soul
