The Best American...
I've been reading short stories lately. The Scheme of Things by Charles D'Ambrosio. It was published in the New Yorker but I'm not sure when. Sometime in '04 I think.

I read it in The Best America Short Stories. Other ones i like include:
First Four Measures by Nathaniel Bellows
Natash by David Bezmozgis

I love the Best American Series. There's the BA Essays, Nature Writing, Sports Writing...and a few others. Those are the ones i like to read. gives you a look at what's fresh across the nation.
