REMEMBER ME
REMEMBER ME
[A call to the son.]

Remember me when I am gone
As one who always wished you best
And held your hand to guide along
The path that was for you a test.

Remember me once in a while
As one who dreamt for you your dreams
And once those dreams were dreamt by you,
Helped you achieve them by all means.

Remember me when on my grave
You pay annual floral tribute
That my soul and thoughts are with you
Though I lie here lifeless and mute.

Remember me, my son, that I
Too had my human weaknesses.
Don’t hold them against me because
Who gave me those?—He who blesses.
