Shower

Before the storm
the sky is polished
to gun-metal grey,
bouganvilleas glimmer
like neon lights,
burple, carmine, cyclamen,
the magnolias gleam
like silver white mercury.
The fat drops fall fast and hard
as I just go on
spinning
spinning
