Hello and The First Days of school.
Hi everybody, I hope all is doing well. I had to kind of giggle when I saw today's, well actually tomorrow's prompt. I just had to jump in.
I have been quite busy. Yesterday was a bummer. My computer crashed and it spent three hours at Office Max recovering, only to find out all the 2013 updates to my computer made my printer quite confused because it couldn't find my computer to confer with and cough me up a hard copy. Spent two hours downloading 2013 updates for my printer and installing. We are all one happy family again. *Laugh*
Now for the prompt:

Prompt: What do you remember about first days of school?

For me, I would have to divide this into thirds. When I was in elementary school, I hated going because my shoes were different from the rest of the girls. My folks were studying to become teachers and I was stuck with, what was termed in those days, saddle shoes. For you young people who have no idea what I am talking about, they were white hard tennis-like shoes with a brown saddle across the top. They were the mark of less fortunate people I was always made fun of,
Teen years were better. Folks were teachers and I learned to sew. I looked forward to the first days of school. That meant boys, parties, football games, and after game dances. I could hardly wait.
College was a bit more focused and again I was excited. I had my family when I went back to school. The beginning of the school year meant two more semesters closer to the state nursing boards and a good paying job.
I guess that kind of sums it up for me. *Smile*
