It was just a story in the news,
it never made much of a headline
at least not online.

It was just a story in the news,
a small headline,
almost hidden from those not searching
for hope on this parched planet.

U.N identified five aquifers in Turkana
Two acquirers verified
Identified through the use of "advanced satellite exploration technology,"2
Verified through drilling
These aquifers are vital to Kenya's success and the survival of Turkana residence

This is an important story because it points out how technology is helping people in third world countries. It is important because it shows that technology, when used properly, can help humanity prosper and solve some of the problems confronting Earth today. This story should be on the front page of every newspaper in the world, but it is hidden headlines that show the chaos and terror that mankind is embroiled in. We need to see more stories about hope then about despair because hope increases our belief in a bright future for the human race.

Humanity will survive the crisis confront it today, but we need hope to help us hold on until the crisis ends. Headlines that point out positives occurring through the use of technology and individual actions help individuals hold onto hope. It is stories like this one that helps the individual human being hold onto hope. The following video is not about the discovery of the aquifers; rather it shows the importance of water in Turkana, Kenya.
