Day 20
Second Thoughts

If I asked my good pumpkin dear,
To hold my knife whilst I disappeared,
Would he take it, no questions asked,
So in my thankfulness he could bask?
And once I was gone so far away,
Would his old girlfriend jump and stay?
Her locks are light and figure quite skinny,
She sighs and falls and seems to shimmy.
Around my man she is quite my match,
This flimsy old scrarecrow has seemed to latch.
I would rather that trickster to be made of hay,
So I could set a match and brighten her day.
Better I stay and protect my own,
Rather than leaving my man all alone.

Unless that knife, that I use to slaughter,
Found its way into that conniving “Moons Daughter”
A witch she claims. Well, I will laugh,
As her blood spills like a large red bath.
So instead there will be none to contest,
With me the victor and she at rest.
