"De-leafed" the front yard ahead of tomorrow's predicted snow; autumn's over.  A haiku & senryu to honor the occasion follow - enjoy!

breathy vapor clouds
follow in each walker's wake -
first snow approaching


dry brown leaves fly as
children scatter them laughing -
an old man curses
