Pollyanna, Anne Pratchet
BCOF Prompt: In the movie, "Pollyanna", she suffers a crippling injury and stays optimistic in spite of things. Lyn asks if we are optimistic and your thoughts on it.

I am having hernia surgery and I am trying to be optimistic. Pray is my guide and helps me optimistic. I do think it is rude when people call someone Pollyanna. We need a Pollyanna attitude to get through life. I take care of the mentally ill and they are never optimistic. This is sad. I am going to be optimistic and be a Pollyanna. If not, I would fall apart. I will be Pollyanna as I face my hernia surgery next week.

Bloc City Prompt: Anne Patchett says: "I Never learned how to take the beautiful thing in my imagination and put it on paper without feeling I killed it along the way. I did, however learn how to weather the death and how to forgive myself for it." Do you agree with her or is the process different for you?

I sometimes get a writing idea and write and then afterwards, I don't like what I wrote. Sometimes, I rewrite it or just move on to another idea. I forgive myself. I just move on to different writing ideas. There is always something else we can write about.
