Midnight Silence
Quiet is the moon
Casting eerie shadows
Throughout the night
Between the silence of the trees.

A gentle breeze stirring
The branches of those
Long forgotten beauties
Whispering secrets to them.

Unmoving, silent,
Midnight creeps in
To disturb their peace
As night creatures wake.

Their movements slow,
Slithering, as if that of a snake,
Almost crawling through the woods,
Not to disturb the silence of midnight.
