BUILDING AWARENESS... How much is $1.5 quadrillion?
         When investing becomes gambling, bad endings follow. The next credit crunch could make 2008-09 look mild by comparison. Bank of International Settlements(BIS) data show around $700 trillion in global derivatives.
Along with credit default swaps and other exotic instruments, the total notional derivatives value is about $1.5 quadrillion – about 20% more than in 2008, beyond what anyone can conceive, let alone control if unexpected turmoil strikes.

Prompt: An author is only as good as their last novel. Do you agree?

         
         If the author’s last novel is the only one you’ve read, then yes. But I believe you have to know all the novels of a writer. No one is perfect and some stories are more appealing than others. Also different readers have different tastes. There can not be a set rule for which author’s are good or when.
         
         Remember best sellers are often created by the media hype. Who is saying the writer is fantastic, and how much are they being paid?
         
         It’s simple. Read the book. If it’s a great story, you’ll know it and respond to it.
         How many novels have you started and never finished because you lost interest? Try not to write one of those stories.
