Second Helpings

Soft Touch

After our exhausting, frustrating and expensive day out with the grand monsters last week hubby and I decided we would never do it again. We are just too old, too tired, too soft and too financially wiped to keep taking them out.

So yesterday we took all three of them to a theme park for the whole day. Thankfully there were fewer disasters, the weather was more agreeable and it wasn't quite as expensive. It was however very hilly which wasn't ideal with a pushchair and an invalid awaiting a knee replacement.

We then had the added joy of keeping them overnight while Paul and Mey Ling had a rare evening out. They too stayed the night so this morning arrived too early and was pretty chaotic.

Today is our wedding anniversary. Thirty- five years. My Goooood. You get less for murder as they say. It has been unbearably hot today and now thunder is rumbling. Tonight we are going to my summer school reunion, so hopefully it will be a dry evening. Weather wise that is. For some reason I think we may indulge in a glass or five of vino.
