Actually, I don’t love cooking. If I was wealthy I would hire a cook. But, I’m not. In self defense I did learn to cook. Some of the people who helped me learn were: my grandmother, my sister-in-law, my first husband, my brother, and lots of different cook books. My favorite foods are fruit and salads.

The worst fiasco has to be a cake. In my teen years I earned a blue ribbon at a fair for entering a white cake with chocolate frosting.

One of my son’s asked me to make the wedding cake for his wedding. I declined but he thought I could do it. So I relented. I tried to make a 3 tiered cake. It turned out lopsided, the frosting ran and it looked terrible. It was a small wedding with only a few relatives and friends. The cake tasted fine it just looked messy so we all ate it and laughed later. Probably the worst cake I ever put together.
