April is half gone and I haven't even started reading the poetry books I intended to read. For most of the month I've read and reviewed poetry on writing.com. I also wrote poetry along with some stories. If I don't get to reading the poetry books by the end of the month then I'll probably give them away. I don't have very much room in this apartment for large groups of books.

The First Day of Ridvan

It's about 12:02 PM Pacific Daylight Time on April 20. I am working on my first Ridvan poem for 2016. The goal by the end of Ridvan is to have at least twelve poems completed and ready to edit.

I finished story 9 of the 44 short stories I'm writing this year. I have 35 stories to complete in the next eight months. I plan to start the story tomorrow because I need another day to pause from the last story and I need to figure out a story plot or at least find a prompt to get my creative juices flowing.

Today I begin story 10 of 44. I have decided rather then post them I will have different people read them for grammar errors and typos when I begin editing them. I have to print copies off so that I can edit them for grammar errors, etc. before I can have someone else check them.

When I write them, I place them into a book on writing.com and then I print a copy off for editing. I haven't yet started my first edit on the first story. I will begin that within the next week or so.

AARP: The Magazine arrived today. Sally Field is on the cover. There are a couple of articles that sound interesting. One of them is about veterans recalling their fiercest battles. The other concerns exercises for senior citizens. I need to keep my brain young by reading more.

I received my copy of the UNLV Magazine today. This is "The Everything is Awesome Issue". I can't wait to find out what is awesome.
