Friday The 13th, Writing Horror, Friggatriskaidekaphobia

Blog City Prompt: Lyn asked about Friday the 13th and if we could write horror. She asked who our favorite authors in this genre are. Bonus Question: What is friggatriskaidekaphobia?

Friday the 13th. This always make me wary. I try to stay home on Friday the 13th. I never schedule doctor appointments on this day. The people I take care of in mental health are worse on this day. Friggatriskaidekaphobia is a fear of Friday the 13th. I have a fear of this so this applies to me. I try not to go anywhere on this day. Today is WalMart day, so I won't have a choice. If I see a crow on this day, it is like this isn't good. I try not to encounter black cats on this day. I don't have a black cat but I have a tortoise shell one. My cat Bella's brother is black but someone else has him. I would like to have him but my husband says one cat at a time. I always feel if something bad is going to happen, it would be on Friday the 13th.

Writing horror. I have written a vampire novel and some spooky items but I am not a horror writer. I don't watch many movies with horror. I watch vampire diaries but it is getting too gory. Just give me "Twilight." I love Stephen King. I do read his books and watch some of his movies but I won't write horror. When I would be trying to sleep, these characters would come after me if I wrote horror. I will let Stephen King enjoy writing his stories and if the first few pages don't scare me, I read his newest book. I have read Dean Koontz but I haven't read one of his novels I years. I will stick to writing romance and Jane Austen or other things BUT NEVER HORROR.
