Corby Steel
Corby was once a little village in Northamptonshire until 2 men in discovered there was oar a particle that makes steel and opened up a huge steel plant in 1933 name STEWART AND LOYDDS. Not only did it provide work for the towns and surrounding villages it also provided work for anybody who was willing to willing to go and live in Corby and people flocked from Scotland, Wales and Ireland but somehow it was nicknamed 'Little Scotland.'

Sadly the works closed 1980 because steel was cheaper to buy abroad , but Corby is still a thriving town because other industry replaced the steel works, and it now a multy cultural town
