MY JOB AS A CARER the INTERVIEW 100 BLOGS
Helen the Social Service driver picked me up for my shift and it was the day of the interviews. She informed me that there were quite a few candidates for the interview and one being a girl who had worked on a years contract before and was very popular with the clients and the staff. the college teach

'Oh well I can say ta ta to the job.'
And Helen never commented further. I guessed she expected the girl to get the job.

The candidates came in at the times they were given and the girl was one of them and when she finished she came to see the other carers, and I felt ashamed she was only a kid just a year out of leaving school and she deserved the job if she was successful. I was called to the office.

I was quite relaxed during the interview and I had my little card certificated from St Johns Ambulance , in my hand and one of the teachers asked to see them, and looked them over. I came back to the kitchen where the staff were grouping. They didn't ask me how it went and I didn't give any information back to them, and it was obvious that they expected the young girl to be given the post.
I was called back into the office and informed I had the job.
