Happiness, Birthright, Childhood
Blog City Prompt: Happiness is our birthright. It is a sacred gift. What are your thoughts on this?

This quote is by a woman who does coloring books and designs jewelry and witty quotes. It would be nice to be happy all the time but life gets in the way and we do what we can to find happiness. We trust in God and we are going to face problems and sometimes we are so happy. No one can be happy all the time, If we are rich, a famous singer, author, we could be happy.

I guess it depends on what family you are born into and what happens in life that makes us happy. When you have happiness, it is a gift. I am happy when I have a day off and today, I am going to a 1920's Downton Abbey Tea.

BCOF Prompt: Snow used a quote from Roald Dahl saying adults have forgotten their childhood but he never did. We are to write about that today.

I have never forgotten my childhood. I lived in different states because Dad was in the Air Force and I had friends from all over. I met country singer Bobby Bare's sister and hung out with his nieces. I never met him. I lived next door to country singer Bobby Harden and he and his 2 sisters were in a group called "The Harden Trio." Our other neighbor was General Moorehead who was General McCarthy's private Doctor in the war. I don't remember this but I wandered off from my mother in Tucson, Arizona and the Skipper from Gilligan's Island rescued me and bought me back to my mother. She was too busy admiring Peter Brown, the actor. I was 4 years old.

I loved The Beatles, Barbie and the 60's. I remember the Viet Nam War. My father went to Viet Nam 3 times. I remember being with my grandparents, their cats and dogs that I loved. I remember the schools I went to, seeing President Kennedy in person a few months before he was shot.

I remember watching "Batman", "Green Acres", "Petticoat Junction", westerns and cartoons. Dad took me to see the military planes on the base. Seeing sites in Washington, D.C. I remember the desert in Arizona. I remember all my childhood. I hope I never forget any of it.
