Things To Throw Out, CoWorkers Being Family
Blog City Prompt: Do you have some things around your house you should throw out but can't? Do they have sentimental value? Write about this.

My mother had a decorated straw hat with flowers and ribbon hanging down, sitting on a brown stand that she was going to give to GoodWill. I decided I wanted it and it is in the bedroom. The cat bats at the ribbon and it falls down. I knock it down. I should throw it out but I can't. I like it. It will be staying for who knows how long.

I have a couple of throw rugs with light houses on it that are old and the one is so flimsy but they have lighthouses on them so I keep them.

We have two vacuum cleaners and the one blew a fuse and the cord was bad off but my husband fixed it, so I keep it and use it. I almost gave it away but it sits out and is easy to use.

I have tons of scrapbook stuff but I may need it someday so I keep all this stuff. I am going to be scrapbooking again.

I have a home made ceramic doll that belonged to my grandmother. She has a broken arm but I keep it.

I also have an old doll house made out of tin but it is an original so I keep it. It is important. So it is sitting by the broken ceramic doll.

BCOF Prompt: Are your coworkers like friends and family Lyn asked?

I work midnights and I love the people I work with. I have two people who work with me at night and I am their supervisor. We work in mental health. We are friends, very good friends. Three or more patients may be up all night but my coworkers and I are together so we have to get along and we are close. They are like family.

The Evening Shift and Day Shift, I love them but I am not sure I could work with them at night. My Boss and I get along but we aren't close like we were 15 years ago but we have a good work relationship. I try to get the job done and keep the peace but with mentally ill patients, we do what we can. I call my Boss when I need to and she knows I am reliable. I wouldn't want to live with the people I work with. I sometimes tell my husband, he can go live in the garage but I love having him around. I am glad I have nice people I work with at night and I don't feel like I am their Boss at night. We are equals. I enjoy being around them.
