Prayer
Prayer:
To The Blessed Beauty

"There is a polish for everything that takes away rust; and the polish for the heart is the remembrance of Allah."
Hadith

It is
the remembrance of the Divine Essence,
by whatever name you address Him,
that polishes your soul
and removes the dross
from the mirror of your heart.

The beauty and wisdom
of prayer
is the connection it forms
between yourself
and the creator of the universe.

The reality of prayer
is communion
with the Lord of the Universe,
the divine,
unknowable essence
we call God.

Prayer is common to all religions,
the only differences are
who we pray to
and how we pray.

I pray
either directly to God,
or through Baha'u'llah
--The Blessed Beauty--
while my friends
and family
pray directly to God,
calling him by one of his many names
or through Christ.

The important thing
is that we pray
to God by one of his various names
or through one of his Prophets.
