Outtricked the Devil - Free Verse
Devil is cagy,
but I’m cagier,
outsmarted this
'soul stealer'
at his own game
Planted in the shadows
I patiently watched
the moon paint the sky
I scrutinized each step
by blending in the
in the background
Became a chameleon
When I felt it
was the right time
I sprung my trap
And stole the
Devil’s soul instead.
