The Dark Angel
The Dark Angel

Temptation is his calling card.
He casually drops it
Enjoying the looks he gets.

Dangling the sins that have
Always been our weakness, he
Relishes our wrath, gluttony, and pride.
Knowledge is no longer a defense.

As we mimic him, turning our backs on light
Night envelopes us in sloth.
Greedily, we accept his false promises
Envying that which we are too blind to see,
Lusting for that which we have given up.
