Muzzy and Vertago have a seminal moment...

"How do we know what is real?" Muzzy pondered..
Vertago smacks Muzzy on the back of his head.
"What-the?" Muzzy stands back from Vertago..
"Oh, that's your proof?" Muzzy scowls and kicks
Vertago in the groin.

Vertago laughs, "I'm a demon. I like pain."
He turns and writes on a chalk board ~

Perception and deduction

"How old is the Earth?" Vertago asks, twirling
his chalk between his fingers.
Muzzy rubs the back of his head.
"Ah, billions of years old. I got that from the
Discovery Channel." Muzzy answered with a smile.

Vertago wrote on the chalk board ~

What was true then is not always true now.

And then he explained,

"You see Muzzy when the Earth was forming there were rare
chemical interactions and erratic molecules spun by radioactive
events. The laws of science we know did not apply in those days.
Volcanic rock appears millions of years old, when it is in fact
fresh from a volcano."

Muzzy scratched the stubble of his beard and interpreted,

"Well there was no way to know what the laws of nature were in
the genesis of Earth. But, science can deduce from existing
geology what must have happened."

"Your not a young Earth demon?" Muzzy chuckled.

"We live in the mind of God. God can undo or rewrite geology.
But, God wishes to maintain order and structure.
No demon believes that order is all powerful .. We want ..
FREEDOM!" Vertago clenched his fists.

Muzzy sneezed, "Midrash."

"Now that's the spirit!" Vertago smacked his hands together.
