Contemplating Naw-Ruz

On the day of Grace
I contemplate a New Year,
and a new season.

At sunset,
a new solar day,
and the New Year of 175 B.E. begins.

Naw-Ruz,
means New Day,
a Holy Day dedicated
to celebrating a New Year.

What will the New Year bring?
It is spring,
new life pushes its way
through the soil
now free of winter's
cold death.

I don't know everything
the New Year will bring,
I know that
the world will experience
by sadness and joy,
as it moves toward world peace.
