Earth Day,
Say a prayer for Mother Earth,
and recycle some plastic.

A Romantic Challenge1

Time caresses
my auburn tresses
wrapped around my fingers.

The first gray strands,
a perfect white,
a solitary stone,
a wisp of day
against the cruel night.

I think I see
a ringer in the mirror.
