Saturday Review of My Week and Poems
Jalál (Glory), 15 Jamál (Beauty) 175 B.E. - Saturday, May 12, 2018

It's been a good week. I accomplished a number of things on my Goal List, and I procrastinated on a few things that I need to finish this weekend. I write several poems including "The Bab and "Baha'u'llah. I also want to write a Deliberate Design poem, but am having trouble coming up with a subject. I could be overthinking, I'll pray about that before I go to bed tonight. I have better luck with things like this when I pray about it before going to bed. I need to rewrite my goals for next week today, and do some reviewing. I'm not doing any reviews on the Read & Review today, instead I'm checking the Browse by Genre for items to review.

A rose for Mama:
Scarlet the color of love,
Faith, and sacrifice.

I have decided to change the About Me in my Biography. Right now the About Me reads: "My full name is Neva Florence Darbe and I was born in Blackwell, Oklahoma. I have two brothers and one sister. I was my mother's caregiver before she died on November 29, 2012." This gives a little information, but I don't think it gives enough. I'm changing it to the following: "I am a Baha'i, whose full name is Neva Florence Darbe. I was born in Blackwell, Oklahoma, and I have two brothers and one sister. I was my mother's caregiver before she died on November 29, 2012."

Oneness of Humanity1

We are one family
Our ancestral unity
Mapped
Traced
Through mitochondrial DNA
To a woman
In Africa

One womb quickened us
Formed us
Fed us
Birthed us
Gave us

Soul stirring passions
That carried us
Through time and across continents
Splintered us
Into separate segments
Of one race
