The Feathered Wake-Up Call

A little bird came to my window today.

"Chirp! Chirp! Chirp, again!
The day is yours to seize!
Please, get up to receive your Joy!
Such Sun! Such Glory! Such Wonder!"

So, I got to greet my friend.

The little bird was nowhere to be found,
but chirped some more,
but urged with strength,
but blessed my mind to enjoy being awake.

"Thank you, Little One!
Even though I can't see you,
you make an excellent Town Cryer!
I thank you for the well-wishes for the day.
You enjoy yours as well.

You certainly fulfill your God-given place in the world!"
