 Love Lesson  (ASR)
Prompt: (and) into the arms of love

Day 1: "30-Day Blogging Challenge ON HIATUS July Unofficial Challenge
"Tell us about that time you were excited about something, only to be bitterly disappointed when it was delayed or cancelled."

Morning depression
memories of disappointments
and interrupted journeys.

I planned a trip to Haifa, Israel, and was unable to go because of taking care of my mother. Now I wonder if I should have made more of an effort to go. I never got to say good-bye to my father before he died. I would have like to reconcile with him in while his spirit was in this world and not the next. I wonder if I should have made more of an effort to find him. It is too late now, and wondering does not change anything. I just have to learn to deal with the disappointment and regrets.

"Music is a safe kind of high." Jimi Hendrix
Let this quote inspire you to write something about your favorite type of music.

I have eclectic tastes in music. The type I choose to listen to on any particular day depends upon how I am feeling and my mood. If I am depressed I listen to uplifting, upbeat, and spiritual music. If I am feeling nostalgic, especially around a specific holiday, I listen to songs that bring back memories of my childhood. I listen to modern songs, as well. When I new song comes out, I will listen to it before I decide if I like it or not. I do not believe in dismissing a song simply because the artist has put out other songs I dislike and would not listen to again.

My favorite music
depends on my mood that day:
I like uplifting music.

“Books are mirrors: you only see in them what you already have inside you,” says Carlos Ruiz Zafón, in The Shadow of the Wind
What do you think he means? Don’t we see in a book what its writer has written?

I read a book for the pleasure of it. If it is fiction, I usually read for the pleasure of escaping into a world completely different from the one I inhabit. If I am reading the sacred scriptures, I attempt to find the inning meaning, without placing my own preconceived interruption upon the verses. If it is nonfiction, I expect it, in some way, to mirror the author's concept of reality.
