The Glory of God1,
encourages humanity to investigate reality
and to "look into all things with a searching eye."2

The "Blog City ~ Every Blogger's Paradise DAY 1711
"Good friends, good books, and a sleepy conscience: this is the ideal life."~ Mark Twain
Yes indeed, Mr. Twain is correct. So let's talk about something you've done recently with a good friend or a good book you've read.

Right now, I am in the process of reading Baha'u'llah: The One Promised in All Scriptures, and I recently finished reading Prayers from the Bab: The Remembrance of God. I am also in the process of reading a science fiction book, however, I don't read science fiction or fantasy in bed before I go to sleep. I prefer to read either the sacred scriptures or a book with quotes from the sacred scriptures in them. I like Baha'u'llah: The One Promised in All Scriptures because the author, Hushidar Hugh Motlagh, uses both quotes from the Baha'i Holy Books and the Christian Bible to emphasize his points.

The "Blogging Circle of Friends prompt for DAY 2104
A lot happened on this day in history. I've included the link, pick something that appeals to you and talk about it and why you chose it. https://www.onthisday.com/events/august/24

1456 The printing of the Gutenberg Bible is completed

I find this event interesting because it means people, who can read, now have a chance to read, at least, one of the sacred scriptures for themselves. While it is true that few people, except the rich or those in power, could read. It is a step in the right direction. The ability, of the individual, to read the sacred scriptures for his or herself means that the person can begin investigating reality, without the assistance of clergy telling them what the scripture means.
