I've been right about                                        there

         constant
on your horizon
whether
         you don't look for me
or just don't see
         hidden plainly
burning
in your brilliant light

Revolving, evolving
         I linger
that you might glimpse
even in the darkest hour
         moving away
         to the naked eye
a vision to behold
if just for an instant --
one circumpolar giant
minimized by vantage
         glimmering, a glint
sent pulsing
by curling obstinance
         forbidding masses
but, constant                                                  still

peering at you
in our shared twilight.
