What I Didn't Do?
What I Didn't Do?

For just one day
I didn't do the laundry!

I didn't sort the cloths
into white and dark,
into bleach and no bleach,
into colors that fade or don't fade.

Now,
for some people this wouldn't be a problem,
there are a few people out there
who don't have to do laundry every day.

But for the rest of us,
Those of us that have a life,
Those of us who change clothes every hour or so,
Those of us who don't like to sleep on the same sheets
We slept on last night
Not doing laundry every day is a problem.

For just one day
I didn't do the laundry,
And now
I have to spend a week catching up.
