Fast Meditation

1

O my Lord,
the questions thou hast answered
are my meditations!

O my Lord,
The wine of Thy utterances flow
across my parched soul
quenching my thirst.

O my Lord,
the honor of Thy Ancient Faith
is my joy!

O my Beloved,
The manna of Thy revelation descends
out of the clouds of Thy Covenant
sating my hunger.

O my Lord,
the sovereignty of Thy essence
is my unity!

O my Beloved,
Obedience strengthens the soul's desire
to overcome ego
and to do the Will of God.

7

O my Lord,
the dominion of Thy truth
is my certitude!

8

O my Beloved,
help me to focus
upon the Glory of God
rather than insistent self.

9

O my Lord,
the loftiness of Thy creation
is my art!

10

O my Beloved,
help me to overcome ego,
as I attempt
to walk the path of faith.
