19 Short Poems About Religion
1
Glass Shards

discarded diamonds
glittering in the sun
or the fragments of religion
shattered by the hammer of dogma

2
God Reveals Himself

From age to age God reveals Himself!

When religion falls into darkness,
When evil covers the earth,
When humanity becomes estranged,
God's Manifestation appears.

Stepping from behind the veil of concealment,
Into the midmost heart of darkness,
He sends the darkness and its creatures fleeing,
From God's dawning light.

3
God Gives His Word

God gives His Word through revelation
To His chosen Manifestation

4
Growing Roses

You can't lock the soul's rose
behind the iron gates of dogma
inside the stone dungeons of fear
and expect it to bloom
in paradise.

5
Guilt

The fire of hell!
The ache of an inflamed conscience:
by comparison physical pain is nonexistent.

The ice of the void!
Responsibility neglected;
God's laws and commands disobeyed.

6
Ancient Water:
A Metaphor

The aquifer lies deep,
at least one thousand eight hundred forty-four feet,
beneath sandstone and shale,
silt and muck,
but legend says
its water is pure and sweet.

Legends tell of other reservoirs,
which had been tapped before,
whose waters ran pure for a thousand years.

7
Golden Thread

The golden thread
uniting religion's tapestry:
God's ancient Covenant!

8
Total Eclipse

Blinded by the darkness
She cannot tell
When the moon has moved
So she sets in total darkness
Waiting for the sun

9
One God

There isn't a different God
for different religions.

10
Temple Bells

The temple bells are ringing,
Throughout the world today,
They're calling all believers,
To come inside and pray.

While outside in the city streets,
Walk unbelieving masses,
Men and women of different faiths,
Or of different classes.

In temple, masque, and pagoda,
The faith await the Promised One,
Never realizing in their blindness,
That He's already come.

11
Progressive Revelation

Manifestation is the Mirror,
the Holy Spirit is the rays,
and God is the sun.

12
Rainbow Bridge of God's Covenant

Ascending
Out of the ebony mountains
The multicolored span of light

Bridges
The valley connecting
Mountain range to mountain range

God's Covenant
Unities the religions of mankind.

13
The Correct Belief:
A Religious Argument

She said:
"You must
comply
with the
correct
belief!"

He said:
"What's the
correct
belief?"

She said:
"What I
believe
is the
correct
belief!"

He said:
"But I
believe
..."

She said:
What you
believe
is not
correct!"

14
Civilization's Development

The laws which govern the development of civilization,
Are spiritual laws brought by God's Manifestation.

15
Prism

Prisms
separate light
into its component parts.

God's Manifestation
separates faith into symbols
comprehensible to the human mind.

16
God Made Known

We worship and unknown God,
Made known by the Mirrors of His Attributes:
Made known
by Abraham, The Father of the Faithful,
         by Krishna, The Educator,
         by Moses, The Law Giver;,
         by Zoroaster, The Pure,
         by Christ, The Son,
by Muhammad, The Seal of the Prophets,
         by The Bab, The Gate,
and by Baha'u'llah, The Glory of God.

17
The Word Made Flesh

The word made flesh
Is God's Manifestation

18
Anticipations

Like the blades of a fan
awaiting the click
that opens the gates of power,
the children of faith
await
the last judgment.

Like the predawn sky
awaiting the crack
that collapses the gates of splendor
the followers of religion
await
the Promised One of God.

19
Veils Split

The veils are rent asunder
Split from top to bottom
By the revealed Word of God
