Unity of Humanity
1
Light Absorbed, Light Reflected

Color is the reflection of light from an object.
The color black absorbs light,
without reflecting any of its waves.
The color white reflects light,
without absorbing any of its rays.
One color complements the other.
Making perfect the color spectrum.
So it is,
         with humanity's rainbow.
The difference of hue and thought
         complementing the race.

2
Humanity in the Late Twentieth Century

The entities of a new creation,
we stand midpoint in time,
sandwiched between yesterday and tomorrow.

Our art reflecting our thoughts,
our hopes, our dream, our wishes,
to be free of what is outworn or dead.

3
Only God Knows

Only God knows what's in a man's heart,
We can't see that deep.
So we jude by the color of his skin,
The length of his hair,
Or the Cut of his clothes.

4
In This Day

In this day
Humanity stands united
Beneath Baha'u'llah's banner.

In this day
Love for Baha'u'llah
Consumes red, yellow, black, brown, and white candles.

5
Generations of Humanity

"These are the generations of man..."
Not the generations of the white man only;
Nor the black man;
Nor the yellow man;
Nor the brown man;
But the generations of humanity!

"These are the generations..."
That hatred severs
From the dignity and honor
To which they were created.

"These are the generations..."
That intolerance distorts,
With the side-show mirror
Of fear.

"These are the generations..."
That prejudice mutates
Into the monsters that rise
Out of the crypt of the ignorance.

"These are the generations..."
That God created male and female
In His image
And after His likeness.

6
Behold Mankind

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder!
Behold mankind beautiful
in all its various shades and hues,
the gem in the crown of creation.

7
Loftiness

Created for the purpose
O knowing and loving God
Humanity stands
At the apex of creation.

It is the gem
In physical evolution's crown.

It is the mirror reflecting
All the attributes of Deity
Back to its source.

8
Foundations Crumble

The foundations of differences crumble,
Before God's mighty Revelation,
And that which is built on them crumble.

9
The Family of Man

The family of man
stands at the apex of creation
caught between the abyss of matter
and the heaven of faith.

10
Echoes of Love

Black and white are the colors of life,
And all the shades between,
The prismed echoes of love

11
Yeast

Shout from the mountain tops,
Believers in the unity of God.
Call out in the valleys,
Followers of His light.

You have the power
To scatter for forces of darkness!
You have the power
To unite the world!
You hold,
Within your grasp,
The keys to unity and peace.

Shout from the mountain tops,
Believers in the unity of God!
Call out in the valleys,
Followers of His light!

Testify to His existence!
Bear witness to His power!
Your are the yeast
In the bread of humanity.

12
Humanity

Migration
is an element
in our genetic code.

To survive
both sperm and ova
to the point of conception.

To mature
the child must migrate
to the point of birth.
