Call To Prayer

Call to Prayer

Rising out of the clamor of night,
Intoning the names of the beloved,
Bells echo across the planet,
Greet the splinter light of dawn,
And rouse from their beds of heedlessness,
The children of faith.

Falling out of the firmament,
Splinters of light
Transform the black velvet night,
Into red silk and blue satin,
And hurl the children of faith
To their knees.
