Black and White Dance
Black and White Dance

Dressed in the colors of hate
Two gangs approach the stage
The gang in black from the left
The gang in white from the right

Reflecting traditions of hate
In the repetitive motions of dance
The gangs bang

Intoning traditions of fear
In the choreographed fight
The gangs kill
The gangs die

Dressed in the colors of love
Peace makers approach the stage
The peace makers in white and back from the left
The peace makers in black and white from the right

Reflecting traditions of faith
In the fluid motions of dance
The peace makers step over the casualties of hate

Intoning traditions of love
In the stylized journey of faith
The peace makers resurrect the casualties of fear
Unite the colors of life.
