About those debates
About those "debates".

"I agree that preaching to the choir has limitations. The audience should be America not merely partisans of a political party. But... that's how this process is set up. Plus, with 24 running and 10 on stage it doesn't lend to any depth. A few sound bytes is the best one can get. Tomorrow's meme. A quote by the media.

The more in-depth interviews that are being done are much better. But, even there, it's up to the host to delve deeper. And not just to be nasty or confrontational, but for understanding.

At this very VERY early stage those who can shout the loudest can get attention. But is there substance behind it? Sometimes yes, but many seem to be single-issue activists.

As for Warren... she's one smart cookie... and proved it. Whether she is Mid-America's cup-of-tea is a question for another day." Commented on Hooves' blog.
