Can a robot be a comedian?

I was watching Neil Degrassi Tyson talking about artificial intelligence.
And as usual, I started to feel sleepy. . I work 50 to 60-hour weeks.
But, the thought popped in my noggin, "Can a robot be a comedian?"
Humor is intuitive. A robot can be programmed to say funny things.
But, it would not know why they're funny.

There has to be a sense of self-awareness.
But, what is self-awareness?
My sister will not eat meat, because she believes cows are self-aware.
"Would you eat your cat?" she queried.
"Well, my cat is rather boney," I replied.
But, she will eat fish. "Is the fish self-aware?" I queried.

"Shut up." she snapped back as she munched a tuna sandwich.
As scientists map the brain, eventually they will build an artificial brain.
Imagine having your brain replaced with a duplicate artificial brain.
There are mechanical hearts.. .
Would you still be human with an artificial brain?
No one would say a person with an artificial heart is less human.
It could, therefore, be logical to say a robot can be a comedian.

But, would the humor be for other robots?
