day 15- stress
What are some ways you reduce stress and create happiness in your everyday life?

Reducing stress in my everyday life is tricky because it's really unpredictable (which I guess is kind of a characteristic of stress, right?) I don't think there's anything I do on purpose to cope except drink and meditate (not necessarily in that order).

I suppose you could say I'm kind of a passive bystander to my stress. It happens, I cope at the time in the way that's appropriate, then I'm left later on with the scraps of stress I didn't address upfront when it happened. I used to seriously self medicate with alcohol, then I started meditating and cut back on that pretty dramatically. I still drink, but I'm decent at being moderate.

I find happiness the same way, it comes to me. If I try to create happiness I almost always end up sabotaging it so I just look out for it and appreciate it when it comes up.
