April 9: evoke an interruption - Mid-Morning Intermission
Mid-Morning Intermission

The sparrows and robins have stopped singing.
The love-sick pigeon has ceased moaning his plight to the world.
The aroma of breakfast hangs heavy in the air.
I pick up my smartphone,
         access the prayer app,
         and read the prayer for The Nineteen Day Feast.
Once breakfast is consumed,
         I return to my shelter in place day.
