April 26: help us hear a particular sound - Sound of Dawn
The Sound of Dawn

All existence pauses
listening
for the sweet echoes of dawn.

Wind gently caresses
the limbs of oak and elm,
rustling leaves
chant wake-up
to nesting birds.

The melodic voices of nightingales
reverberating
from tree to tree
are joined by the sparrow's gentle song
and the robin's joyous melody.

The cadence of dawn's symphony rises,
as the birds intone
their thanks to the rising sun.
