Happy Mother's Day,
Mama,
I miss you so much more today
than I did when you passed away.

I remember the Mother's Day celebration,
and the Holy Day commemorations
that we attended together
before Alzheimer's stole your memories.

Now all I can do is say
prayers for the advancement
of your soul
and hope to meet you again
in the Abha Paradise.
