Literature
Prompt: What does literature mean to you?

I like literature. I enjoy stories and sometimes, they deal with death, real life, comedy and literature like books can take you away and make you feel good. Reality isn't always kind and lately, worse then ever, so I like being able to read and forget my problems. I have been reading Jane Austen and religious items lately. I have the new Twilight book ordered and look forward to that. Literature is the art of writing. Pictures tell a story and so do books. You read between the lines and lines themselves. Literature defines us as people and writers. Without literature, would we have plays, movies, books or entertainment? We need to amuse ourselves. Literature plays us on our emotions and lets us know we are alive. Works for me anyway.
